MSR XGK EX Multi-Fuel Stove

January 13, 2012

This thing will burn piss. If you can light it on fire itll burn it! Ive used JP-8, diesel and white gas and it just goes. No issues! Every time!I just wouldnt try to simmer with it... But if you need hot water now this is your stove.

Does anyone have a better estimate for burn time for this stove? "Varies" is kinda vague.

Rating for this product: 5 August 11, 2008

Haven't taken this thing out for long trips but on my climbing adventures, in Korea, it has served me well. My last pack was the Shasta model and I never knew how much I was missing by not upgrading. Gregory's customer service is hard to beat as well. This is my third pack from them. Very happy with it.

Arc'teryx S240 Sport Climbing Harness

July 21, 2008

This harness is pretty bad ass. It is very light but surprisingly comfortable. I have taken many falls in this thing and it stands up to the abuse. Hard to beat Arc'teryx, for anything really. OK that said my main climbing partner climbs in the Hirundos and he loves it. Maybe one day we'll swap but I kinda think it would be like swapping wives... They both seem to be on par with each other except for gear loops, but the S240 has a better color in my opinion (not metro just that it's a bit loud for me.) Its a crap shoot. Id go with the one that's more comfortable to you.
