Fleeting Comfort

KEEN Whisper Sandal - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 August 4, 2009

Fleeting Comfort

These are super comfortable but falling apart after only one month. So buyer beware.

The positives
• They are the most comfortable sandal I have ever owned.
• They have not become stinky even after multiple trips through white water and rivers.
• I have got a lot of compliments on the color (light green ones with gray).
• The rubber is A+! it is sticky when wet and when dry.

However, There is a problematic negative. These shoes are NOT built tough. More like built rough. The stitching is terrible.
After the first weekend of having them some of the stitching came apart on the side I tied it off and it seems to be fine, however that shoe is just a little loser now. I also have more than one hole in the liner fabric because of the poor attention paid to the stitching on the side pieces and back pieces. I know this soft fabric is the reason the shoe is so comfortable but wherever there is a leather accent piece there is also a hole is forming in the liner fabric (pout).

So overall even though they are uber comfy, I wonder how long they will hold up. We'll see.
I will not be purchasing another pair for this price if they fall apart too soon.
Doesn't look so good after one month but they are really very comfortable
