I found that the Patagonia to be a little less bulky (not MUCH) I went with the HAY Zeus, Better jacket for Colorado!!

Bryan - Where does it say "Manufacturer Warranty: 1 Year " on the Lowe Alpine website - Where does BC.Com get "Manufacturer Warranty: 1 Year "
I have had to send a pack back to Lowe Alpine with a busted zipper - they sent me a brand knew one - no questions asked - And yes i had the pack for at least 2 or more years. And as far as REI and OR........ "LIFETIME"
