4FRNT Skis VCT Ski

April 16, 2010

I ski on the vct 182 and am 5'8" and 145# so yeah i would definetly go with the 182. It is a great all around ski, it does well in all types of snow conditions and is super fun. I have never skied the turbo but according to others who have, really the only place it does not do as well as the regular vct is on absolute boilerplate ice. Really it comes down to whether you want to sacrifice the complete ice performance for a little more fun in the powder. In my opinion i think you should go with the Turbo since this will be your quiver of one and it sounds like you will be doing your best to stay away from the hard stuff and in the pow. Just my 2c hope it helped!

Best boot I've ever worn!

Full Tilt Seth Morrison Pro Model Ski Boot - Men's

Full Tilt Seth Morrison Pro Model Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 19, 2010

Full tilt Seth Morrison ski boots are truly the most awesome boots I have ever strapped on to my feet. I am literally able to do more on skis because of the higher level of comfort and control these have given me!!After several years of dealing with really bad shin bang i can now ski multiple days in a row in comfort due to the three piece design. I have had several people say how because of the 3 piece construction full tilt boots are waaayyy to soft but that is definitely not true. Standing in these compared to my old 120 flex boots these are actually stiffer, but when skiing, even though they are stiff, they flex in their own unique natural way that does not give me shin bang. The liners are also amazing, i have about a 100mm last and after heat molding them they fit like a glove and are comfortable and warm all day. They are also super easy to get into even if they have been riding in a cold truck bed and you have to put them on in a the parking lot! Everything about this boot is superior to every other boot i have tried on and used!!! So if you are sure they will fit your foot, buy em right now, you will not be sorry!

Okay but not awesome

The North Face Monte Cargo Pant - Men's

The North Face Monte Cargo Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 22, 2010

Overall a pretty good pant. The fit is awesome (Kinda baggy) and the material is pretty darn water resistant, and tough enough to lay down and chain up your car when the time comes. My only complaint is that, like other people have said, the cuff material shreds easily and gets packed with snow.

Best goggle EVER!!

Oakley Crowbar Goggle

Oakley Crowbar Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 February 22, 2010

The Oakley Crowbars are the best goggle I have ever used, period. Mine have the G30 lens which I think is the best of both worlds, perfect for cloudy storms and the dark winter days we have in AK, but also amazing when it pops blue and the sun shines. Amazing comfort and style they fit seamlessly with my giro G10 helmet. In my opinion they are the best money can buy!!
