  • Stomping Grounds:

Red River Gorge,Brown County IN.,Winona Lake,IN. bike trail.
  • Bio:

I'm a college student from Indianapolis. Unless you go indoor there is virtually no climbing here, so we go down to Red River Gorge right now. I'm just getting started on gear collection, and I am loving all that there is to learn in the climbing world. That is my favorite part of the sport. There are always people at the wall that can teach you something or let in on great places to check out. I also love to take my bike out to the trails.
If I ever stop learning something new about the sport I think that is when I'll be bored with it. Fat chance of that happening lol.

First pair of shoes

Mad Rock Flash Climbing Shoe - Men's

Mad Rock Flash Climbing Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 25, 2009

This is my first pair of shoes, and they do the job. I really did a lot of research before purchasing the shoes and this pair has solid reviews, so I went with these. The price is great comparaitively, and the rubber is insanely sticky. The one problem I'm noticing is that the rubber is very soft. We climb at the Red River Gorge, and the sand stone down there can really shred shoes up. Great for edging. With its stiff sole you can really put your weight on the toe, but if you use your toe a ton you may want a slightly harder rubber.
Great shoe over all and if you heel hook at all the mad rock heel design is where its at. If you loose a hook with these shoes then you might be doing something wrong.
I would definetely recommend this shoe for indoor climbers and outdoor climbers looking for the stickiest thing out there. remember though they are a soft rubber that might not last super long.
