Stomping Grounds:
Kansas City- midwest. Near the Great Plains and a ston'e throw fom the Ozark Mountains -
Bio:
I started backpacking around 1994. I started out with 19th century minimalist camping and moved toward more conventional. I backpack anywhere from deep woods, desert, winter lands, caves and river bluffs to urban sprawl, under bridges, abandoned buildings and hobo camps. I also travel a great deal for work as a photographer. Many days spent on the road and air travel, I find a lot of the outdoor gear and clothing serve that lifestyle as well. I acquire gear over time as I can afford it. My typical pack weight is 30 lb (13.6 k). I've learned through my experiences what gear I need for a lighter pack and a comfortable journey.

Use your real name to add some legitimacy to your content. Real names mean real community, and real community means real knowledge. Gear Gurus who use their real names get bumped up 1.5x for each contribution - you deserve the credit. For more info check out the Help Center.
This is how you compare to all the other Gear Gurus on Backcountry.com. You earn one point for each list / review / question / answer / gear photo / comments / votes you contribute. You gain an extra point every time someone gives one of your contributions a thumbs up, but you lose a point for every thumbs down. Bonus: if you use your real name, your point total increases by 1.5x—you deserve credit for putting your neck on the line to make this community better. For more info, check out the Help Center.

Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's

thanks mikey_973
I've been stuffing it inside pocket. This is way better, obvious now that I realize the left pocket has a reversible rather than the single of the right pocket.

The North Face Minibus 23 Tent 2-Person 3-Season
June 17, 2009
I agree _ I have this tent. Although it seems most tents state their occupancy based on absolute capacity, this does have that "extra" room- the head room is wider than the foot. I fit two fullsize Thermarest mats, with extra room to boot. Plus generous vestibules free up alot more room for the gear and beer.
