Outdoor Research Elixir Jacket - Men's

Outdoor Research Elixir Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 10, 2009

this jacket is exactly what i was looking for. a lightweight rain jacket that looks nice enough to wear around town, but is durable enough to take up on the trails. jacket performs amazingly, never been wet with it on, and coming from the northwest this is an accomplishment. Medium fits well, 5'11'' with an athletic build, with room for layering. Jacket breaths well , especially with the arm vents open and the pockets unzipped. overall a great purchase.

Outdoor Research Elixir Jacket - Men's

the collar ffeels great. there is really nice piece of fabric at the front to cover the zipper. it's a little tight with the hood rolled up but not terrible by any means. i personally like the tight feeling.

The North Face Plasma GTX XCR Boa II Hiking Shoe - Men's

The North Face Plasma GTX XCR Boa II Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 4, 2009

these shoes are awesome, and so far the BOA lace system has not failed. I wore these shoes all day today in 90+ degree heat and my feet stayed cool even while moving around all day. Not only are they well ventilated and waterproof, but they are the most comfortable shoes i've ever worn. We'll see how the BOA holds up to the test of time, but for now i would recommend these to anyone looking for a good all purpose hiking shoe.
