I dunno, I just woke up and I need to get some new boots for my trip in a week. Thanks backcountry for working so well with last minute shoppers like me. Yawn, sip, shop. Good Morning :)

La Sportiva Thunder II GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

La Sportiva Thunder II GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 31, 2009

I'm now 100% convinced these were the right boots for me! I was looking for a light weight boot that could handle a heavy pack for multiple days, and be versatile enough for an annual winter ascent (The one pair to kill 'em all). I chose La Sportiva because I the fit is the best, and this model was the right style for my average trip. On top of everything else, Backcountry.com offered an amazing deal, and these boots required no break in time. I only had slight calluses on the bottom of my feet, probably because it was hot out and I was wearing thick socks...changing to thinner ones would have helped my feet stay cooler and free from the rough stuff. I only rate these a 4, should be a 4.5 because of some slight delaminating of the rubber around the top of the shoe...purely cosmetic.
