The North Face Skareb 40 Backpack - 2150-2750 cu in

Rating for this product: 5 June 14, 2009

I purchased this backpack before living in the middle east for 4 months while going to school there, and I have no idea how I would have survived with just my school bag. We went on many 4 day trips (some food provided) and this bag was perfect. I had plenty of room and it was very durable. If you DON'T roll the top correctly it will start to tear and pull, but I caught myself early and its perfect. The true test came when I lived out of it for 10 days in Egypt. I had everything I needed in there (again food provided, but i did bring some with me) with room to spare for other things. I like that the zippers are hard to open b/c that means its hard for water to get in. I dropped it in a river accidentally with my camera in it, and after about 10 seconds, everything was still fine! If you can pack light, you can go for days living out of it.
