Marmot Skyline Insulated Pant - Women's

Marmot Skyline Insulated Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 7, 2012

when i got these i almost returned them because they were borderline too small (ordered xs, i am 5'1" 110lbs) but kept them and gave them to my daughter who is a little shorter and lighter than me. she really likes them. based on the cut and the features i would definitely consider this a resort oriented pant. she destroyed her last pair (roxy) in 2 seasons so i'm hoping these will be more durable.

Outdoor Research Igneo Pant - Women's

Outdoor Research Igneo Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 7, 2012

this was the 5th pair of ski pants i tried this year. i wanted a pant with a lot of features and the versatility for almost any situation. oh, and they had to fit (i am 5'1" 110lbs). these pants have great pockets, light insulation, big thigh vents, recco, articulated knees, and a relaxed but not baggy fit (i have the xs). they are a little long, i think this size would fit someone up to 2-3 inches taller. the lining is soft enough that i wouldn't hesitate to wear them without a baselayer in warm weather. so far i have skiied in a wide range of temps and conditions in these and have always been dry and comfortable. excellent for hiking. bottom line: if you want a ski pant that can keep you happy just about anytime, anywhere this could be it. Bonus: OR sizing accomodates the half-pints. Double bonus: they don't cost $300 or $400!!

K2 Bad Seed Alpine Ski w/ Fastrak 2 10.0 - Kids'

K2 Bad Seed Alpine Ski w/ Fastrak 2 10.0 - Kids'

Rating for this product: 2 April 9, 2011

Steve is right, the binding is totally incompatible with the ski. Can't imagine what k2 was thinking here. I bought this set up at a local shop at a crazy close out price and had them remounted with proper bindings. I bought these in thr 119cm for my son who is 50 lbs with a 19.5 boot. Will use the big bindings for a sibling who is 4 years older, 5 shoe sizes larger and 50 lbs heavier! besides the hassle, my son ended up with the skis he has been craving and I still got a screaming deal.

Oboz Sidewinder Hiking Shoe - Women's

Oboz Sidewinder Hiking Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 July 7, 2010

with virtually no breaking in these shoes were like slippers--but with all necessary sturdiness--on an all day hike in terrain ranging from meadow to scree. didn't get them wet so can't comment on that issue. i am impressed and hope they remain as durable as they are comfortable.

SmartWool Ewenify2 Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

SmartWool Ewenify2 Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2010

seriously, if you have discovered the virtue of modern wool base layers, you know what i'm talking about. here's a lightweight wool peice that you can enjoy in the warmer months. i confess i still find ways to incorporate this into my winter layers. i don't hesitate to golf, tennis, hike, ride or just sleep in it.

SmartWool NTS Microweight Crew - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2010

i grab these whenever i can on sac. they layer great under the smartwool midweight items. i wear these almost everyday in midwinter under casualwear sweaters for great insulation with bare minimal bulk. of course they are indispensable as the next to skin ski layer reagardless of conditions. as for fit i do think smartwool runs a little the on the small side. when in doubt size up. i'm a diehard sw fan.

SmartWool Midweight Zip Top - Women's

SmartWool Midweight Zip Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2010

i have this in black and i wear it more than i'm comfortable admitting. i should have more but then people might make fun of me for wearing them everyday october thru march. love the feminine cut. one reviewer said its short...probably true for some. i am very short and find the fit ideal. so much more than a ski layer! supberb quality, too, after all this use mine has very minimal pilling and no shrinkage despite the fact that i do stick it in the dryer on low heat.and i bought one for my daughter and she can't seem to take it off either. smartwool rocks.

Arc'teryx Gamma MX Hooded Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Gamma MX Hooded Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 30, 2010

got this as a heavier softshell for snowboarding. so far i love it. i wore it on a 5 degree powder day with thin wool layers and stayed warm and dry. in dry mountain west conditions this jacket seems very versatile. not sure about rain or super wet snow but i have worn my arcteryx epsilon in heavy rain and it keeps me dry for a reasonable amount of time. it's very breathable. the fit is trim as described, but well tailored and allows great range of movement. im 5'1" 115lbs and got the xs. the drop tail is a little longer than i would design but im very short so most avg/tall gals probably wont notice. if you are a fan of arcteryx softshell fit and features this won't disappoint. i anticipate getting a lot of wear out of this jacket. if it has a major fault i guess its the price...but i bought on sac!

this has to be the best deal on a merino shirt if you buy on SAC. it is cut well, seems durable and is very comfortable. i expect to get a lot of use from it. i'm a petite 5'1" 115 lbs and got an xs. it's very close fitting on me but i wanted it that way. it's not as soft as smartwool, but for the money it's a good quality piece

Oakley Straight Pant - Women's

Oakley Straight Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 November 4, 2009

These pants look great, seem really well made and they have excellent features but they are HUGE. i'm petite admittedly(5.0, 115)and wear xs or s in most brands. no way here. i would need 6" and 20lbs to sport these. i think they would be great for the non-vertically challenged!

Arc'teryx Epsilon SV Hoody - Women's

Arc'teryx Epsilon SV Hoody - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 2, 2009

i got one of these miracle jackets as a gift last winter and i can honestly say i find a reason to wear it almost any day. when they say it's versatile they mean it. i have ski toured in it, snowboarded in it, summer hiked and even golfed in it. layer under it, layer over it, wear it alone in warmer weather. in eight months i bet not a week has gone by when i didn't put it on at least once. Great feminine cut to boot. This jacket will get you noticed...in all the right ways. Even though it's not meant to be fully wind and waterproof, it does a great job of both. get one and wonder what how you coped without it!

SmartWool NTS Midweight Boot Top Bottom - Women's

SmartWool NTS Midweight Boot Top Bottom - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 2, 2009

i ordered these recently and held my breath because it was my first purchase of smartwool base layers (have many sox) and because i had to get xs when i might have ordered s if available. i had read reviews of smartwool tops that cautioned against them being too tight and small for size. i love my xs. since this is a next to skin layer it is perfect. i'm 5'0''/115lbs and i like xs for next to skin and s for second layer. smartwool is luscious. l look for reasons to wear it.
