Sci-Fi Warmth

Patagonia Lightweight R4 Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Lightweight R4 Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 1, 2005

Thin and light, there is no way this product is from this planet! It is very, very warm--so warm in fact it might be a bit much for all but the coolest environments. Excellent fitted style and long enough for my 6'2" frame.

A must have option for layering

The North Face Chesterton Crew Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

The North Face Chesterton Crew Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 15, 2005

This shirt is super soft, dries quickly, and comfortable. Did I mention it was soft? This has a nice fit, plenty long sleeves and body (but not too long), which is usually a problem for me at 6'2". Haven't needed it for warmth yet but looks to have all the right stuff. Oh, yeah--it's soft!

It's "Wicked" Light

Mountain Hardwear Wicked Tech T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Wicked Tech T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 8, 2005

Very thin and extremely light, this is a great top for climbing on those hot sunny days. I liked it since it was not too tight (not ripped enough myself to wear something painted on). On super sunny days, opt for a lighter color. I am anxious to try it out in colder weather as a base—seems perfect, albeit a tad on the pricey side. Better (thinner, cooler, more wicking) that the more common underarmor-type alternatives.
