Backcountry.com Merino Crew Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

November 6, 2009

The hole on my ribs is from a hungry mouse in my tent, not wear and tear. Holding up really well.

Airblaster Merino Wool Ninja Suit - Men's

Airblaster Merino Wool Ninja Suit - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 6, 2011

Jackie Chan has nothing on this sweet outfit. The ninja suit makes a great base layer; soft and really warm for as thin as it is. I wear mine when I'm battling evil warlords, and when I'm just sitting around the house watching tv. I'm 5' 8" 145 lbs and the Small is perfect/snug fit for a base layer, but if you're much bigger I would go with a medium.

GoPro HD Helmet HERO

December 4, 2010

Durability?
Has anyone had any trouble with the camera breaking after taking a hard fall? I'm especially worried about mountain biking and kayaking (hitting a rock while upside down), and wondered how tough this thing is?

Black Diamond HotWire Carabiner

Can anyone tell me the difference between the neutrino and the hotwire biners? They look pretty much the same to me.

Black Diamond Sabretooth Clip Crampons

February 3, 2010

14 points for all-purpose? I was thinking that all purpose typically had 10, and 14 was for really technical stuff like vertical ice. Has anyone used these for general mountaneering, and were you happy with the performance? I'm looking for an all-purpose that I can climb easy ice routes, but will use mostly for slope climbing. Thanks for any beta!

Pony port is worthless

K2 Moxie PRO Helmet - Women's

K2 Moxie PRO Helmet - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 January 28, 2010

If your going to buy this helmet because you want to wear your hair in a pony tail while skiing/boarding, don't waste your money on this one. The liner totally blocks the pony port, so it doesn't work unless you take out the liner (which might make for a chilly day). If you're not going to use the port then its a pretty good helmet and the liner is super soft.

Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Sleeping Pad

June 15, 2009

Does the noise bother anyone? I slept on this pad at REI and it seemed awfully noisy anytime I shifted my weight around. I'm thinking the sleeping bag might dampen the noise, but was wondering if this is an issue with anyone? Thanks for any input!
