Goretex? Vibram Soles? These shoes leak!

Merrell Chameleon Arc GTX Shoe - Women's

Merrell Chameleon Arc GTX Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 May 27, 2009

I purchased a pair of Merrell Chameleon Arc Goretex shoes with Vibram soles at the end of August 2008 and have worn them mainly on sidewalks. Last month I noticed they were getting wet inside whenever it rained, which should not happen with the Goretex liner & Vibram soles. The cause of the water leakage turned out to be the wearing out of the Vibram soles including several significant holes. This is not acceptable in a shoe of this supposed quality & price. I contacted the store I purchased them from and they weren't prepared to do anything for me. Next I contacted Merrell twice through their Canadian website and they haven't responded to this problem. Obviously, I do not recommend buying Merrell shoes when they supply a substandard or defective product and poor customer service.
