Powerful, Playful, and Stable

Black Diamond Megawatt Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 15, 2012

I have found myself skiing everything from wind buffed snow, to blower, to PNW mash potatoes on these bad boys and they are just killing it. They offer a stable platform underfoot that don't stray from the fall line. Despite there straighter side cut they still are quite responsive in tighter situations. The stiffer tail and improved tip profile allows these bad boys to float while also holding there own on more versatile snowpack. I am 5'8" and weigh about 155 and rock the 188.

Bibs are Back!!!

Trew Gear Trewth Bib Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 7, 2011

Tired of getting snow up your back or down your pants, well I was and then I found out the TREWth that bibs are RAD! These bad boys are 100% bomb proof and keep me extra dry when it gets extra deep out there! The shoulder strap clips make it easier to take the bibs on and off when you have extra layers or when using a beacon harness over the bibs. The full length side zips are also great for venting and for a quick change in the backcountry. If you want technical and stylish look no further TECHNYLISH is right here in the trewth bib!

These are the perfect pant, whether early morning yoga, taking a hike or walk with friends, or grabbing a cup of Joe in town. The warm and soft Merino wool will make you feel cozy and dry no mater where you decide to wear them and the little bit of spandex mixed into the merino give the pants that form fitting look no matter how many days in a row you wear them (and yes, once you put these baby's on you will have a hard time putting any other pant on). Crystal Clear and Vibrant

Smith Phenom Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 November 10, 2010

If the popping colors of the new Phenom aren't enough to draw you to these goggles like a moth to a flame, well just throw them on your face and you will surely see the truth. Obvious the lenses are the highest quality that can only come from Smith, with all the varieties to allow for perfect vision in any conditions. The frame itself fits perfectly, with a nice wide peripheral view and the spherical lenses that prevent any distortion, you'll be able to spot, stomp, and ride out of that huge hit perfectly, and look good while doing it.

These are Some Bad Mamma Jammas

Rossignol Phantom Pro RC112 Ski

Rossignol Phantom Pro RC112 Ski

Rating for this product: 5 May 22, 2010

If you like to go mock eighty billion MPH down super steep lines or stomp big old drops, then the RC 112 are the skis for you! These things are S-T-I-F-F and the minimal side cut means these things are strait lining machines. As if the metal tip wasn't enough to let you know that these things were made for bashing through any snow condition, the metal in the core will ensure that you feel as stable opening it up through the Chunder as you do through the powder.
These skis need speed and to be opened up, short radius turns will have you hating life on these beasts. The only way to approach tight terrain is to point 'em!
Bottom line: these skis are made for those that like to charge HARD all others need not apply.

Highest quality and Lightest weight cam out there

GoPro HD Helmet HERO

Rating for this product: 5 May 15, 2010

It is no wonder that many of the ski, Mountain Bike, and Surf films coming out this year will have GoPro Helmet cam shots, with High Definition and superior image quality and many options for image size and option of FPS, the GoPR HD has it all. If that wasn't enough it's compact size and many mountain components that come standard with the camera is enough to keep your creativity flowing.

Smith Maze Helmet

Smith Maze Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 January 21, 2010

This is a super light weight helmet that fits really comfortable. It is a super simple not frills helmet that just does it's job and seems to keep the tempo on my noggin just right. The helmets do run a bit big though, I usually wear a small and I found that I need an XS.

The Sickest Quality out there

GoPro HD Helmet HERO

GoPro HD Helmet HERO

Rating for this product: 5 January 21, 2010

So not only is the GoPro Small Light and insanely durable, but the image quality is just insane! You can practically see the type of snow crystals that are forming in the snow.
The only area I see where the Gopro could improve is in it's LCD menu which can be frustrating at times as it seems to Jump out of video mode when you turn it on, but this could be user error. All and all this is an awesome new toy that I won't leave home without!!

Hestra Seth Morrison Pro Model 3-Finger Glove

Hestra Seth Morrison Pro Model 3-Finger Glove

Rating for this product: 5 December 10, 2009

I got these gloves at the beginning of the season and we have had bellow Zero temps the past week in Utah and these gloves have been keeping my hands toasty.
Not only are they warm, but having the independent thumb and index is key for maintaining dexterity. I hate mittens, but I love these gloves.
To top it all off, the Purple and black is just so smooth looking.

Rossignol SYSTEM S7 Pro Mancini Ski

Rossignol SYSTEM S7 Pro Mancini Ski

Rating for this product: 5 December 10, 2009

I have been rocking these skis for the past two seasons and all I can say is they kill it. From big line pow, to crud, to icy as hell culloirs, these are the skis you want under you.
They are the same as the S7, just with a tele friendly top sheet and the proceeds go to the Max Mancini Life Turns, foundation.
Bottom line, if you like to drop a knee and you charge hard you NEED these skis!!!

The Bombshells are the Bomb!!

22 Designs Bombshell Telemark Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 November 12, 2009

Some companies' approach to women specific gear is to dumb it down, not 22 Designs. They use the same Beefy construction and materials that they use to make the male/unisex counter parts (hammer head) and just tweak the dimensions for a more woman friendly fit.
They are a super fun and responsive binding whether you ski in resort, slack country, or backcountry. The binding does not have a free pivot tour (like 22designs Axl) but by changing the pivot position and using the touring heal piece touring is still an option with these bindings, and believe me, you will be really happy when you get to the top and have your bombshells for the decent.
Bottom line: These binding rock and 22 Designs makes super reliable gear for any and every adventure.

Backcountry Access Carbon 260 Avalanche Probe

Backcountry Access Carbon 260 Avalanche Probe

Rating for this product: 5 October 12, 2009

The BCA probes are the quickest probe to deploy. Not only do they have the quickie tension hardwire, but the cones in between each link ensures that the sections aren't getting caught on each other or iced up and costing you valuable time fiddling around with you gear. The Carbon brings extra weight reduction and the silk screen markings ensure that you will never loose the depth measurements.

Smith I/O Interchangeable Goggle

Smith I/O Interchangeable Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 October 12, 2009

So I just got my I/O Just as the first snows fell in the cottonwoods. I went hiking up at Alta for some early turns and after working hard and sweating quite a bit, I threw on my goggles and charged hard down the hill and didn't get the slightest hint of fog. I repeated a few more times and still nothing. No fog and they fit great! I'm totally sold!!

Low Profile fit

Six Six One Back Guard

Six Six One Back Guard

Rating for this product: 4 September 27, 2009

So, I rock the Back guard when I'm skiing big lines and dropping big cliffs. There are a few features that make this piece of gear pretty good, but then there is a bit that it leaves to be desired.Pros: Light weight, Easy to attach to pack for touring, and quick to put on at the top, saved my back many times, it drops down low enough to protect even my tail bone.Cons: Uncomfortable velcro strap system (especially for girls), rides up a little, and would like a little bit more kidney protection.I own both an impact jacket and this back protector and I find myself using the back protector more because of it's low profile.

These gloves are as big of Rockstars as Seth himself

Hestra Seth Morrison Pro Model Glove

Hestra Seth Morrison Pro Model Glove

Rating for this product: 5 September 16, 2009

If you're looking for a glove that is durable, gives you great dexterity, and is ultra comfortable, these are it. They may not be the warmest glove in the Hestra line, but hey... they aren't made for the week of mind. These gloves are made for those who ski hard and fast. The rubber finger guards help save your little digits from being crushed when you are blinded by the billowing pow and you accidently hit that aspen tree with your fist. The full leather construction ensures that your not stuck on the top of some remote peak and the nylon on your glove blows out a seam. These gloves are as burly as Seth himself. I you find that your gloves feel a little too snug when you first put them on, give em a chance, they stretch big time, and will fit as snug and comfy as well... a glove.

The only sports bra you will ever need

CW-X XTRA Support Sports Bra - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 August 19, 2009

I have tried every sports bra out there, even wearing two bras at once and nothing has ever given me the support I was looking for, until now! I am a D and when I'm not skiing down the mountain I am in the gym training. That means I am constantly running, jumping, and lunging and this bra stands up to the task. It may feel tight when you first put it on, but give it a minute and you'll see why its so great!

Rossignol Kali Ski - Women's

August 17, 2009

These skis are probably best for intermediate to expert skiers. Their bigger foot print and stiffer wood core make these skis stable at speed, but a bit tricky for pushing around as a beginner.

Optimum Control

Scarpa T-Race Telemark Ski Boot

Rating for this product: 5 August 17, 2009

If you are looking for a boot that can handle anything that Mother Nature or the park crew throws your way these are the boots for you. The super stiff design offers all the power you need to take your turns to the next level. The beefier designs also allows you to stay over the fatter, stiffer skis and power them through big turns. For me, the lack of a touring isn't a problem, especially now that I rock a pair of touring bindings (The Axls). But even before I had a touring binding I would just loosen the buckles and have at it. It was always worth the little extra weight and effort for the descent.

The Simplest Beacon to Use

Backcountry Access Tracker DTS Beacon

Backcountry Access Tracker DTS Beacon

Rating for this product: 5 August 17, 2009

This is the only beacon I will ever use. It has a great easy on/off dial and a simple search/ transmit button that really limits user error. Also, the simple directional light monitor accompanied by the audio beep and the digital distance reader makes finding your ski buddy quick and simplifies an often daunting experience.
Simply, the Tracker is just a well designed no frills easy to use easy to learn beacon.
