Another question... when you've strapped a sleeping roll, tent, and sleeping bag to this backpack, does the built-in rain cover still cover everything?

The North Face Terra 40 Backpack - 2450cu in

May 26, 2009

Not a question specifically about this pack. I'm looking for a new daypack, 30-40L, that is both hydration system ready and has mesh side pouches for 1L water bottles. A 3 pocket system would be nice: a lower one for wet clothes/shoes, a main compartment with side access, and a pocket in the lid. It needs to be compactable, preferrably in its own lid, so I can store it in my kayak hatch for kayak to hike day trips. And it needs to fit my 6'3", 235lb frame. Does this backpack exist?
