This will be real quick. I went back and forth about buying this bag thinking about buying something cheaper and I am not saying you can't get a good bag for less, but this bag is so comfortable and light and packs down so small, that if your on the fence and have the dough, don't be. It is a solid purchase, glad I bought it.

I bought it and have loaded it way down with all sorts of backcountry hunting and backpacking gear a few times already and have been pretty impressed with it. It is defintely well made and once adjusted and loaded properly will carry heavy loads comfortably. Did I say it was well made? This is the second North Face product I've bought, I also have the Flight bivy sack. I'm pretty picky when it comes to gear , flaws in quality I find unacceptable and frustrating when they finally arrive and pulled out of the package. This backpack did not let me down, it is a quality product. Money well spent.

I bought this bivy a month or so ago and have had it out in the Mountains of N. Cal. on some backcountry trips twice so far. The weather has been pretty mild so I can't speak to it's integrity when it's raining or snowing but when you closely look over this sack it is obviously well made, the seams are nicely done and the fabric is light and the color is very cool. It definately adds some warmth to your bag (I'm using the marmot 30+ hydro. bag) so in warm weather just zip down a bit and let the air flow. I also like the way the opening is in a U shape easy egress in and out. Packs down small. Great product.
