Stoic Bombshell Jacket - Men's

Doug,

The hood on this jacket is not stowable. Regarding it being a pain to have it attached, that really depends on what you fell comfortable in. I personally can't stand jackets that have removable hoods.

hope this helps

Mountain Hardwear Phantom Down Jacket - Men's

Andy,

Both jackets are an 800 fill down jacket, so there is not much difference there. The one main difference is the gore-tex windstopper coating on the Montbell Permafrost. Hope this helps.

Marmot Traveler Jacket - Men's

November 17, 2009

Peter,

This jacket would be good for keeping dry in a rainy climate for sure, however I would recommend the Marmot PreCip jacket for a rainy and hot climate. The PreCip has core venting where this jacket does not.

Lib Technologies TRS BTX Snowboard

November 12, 2009

I am 5' 10" and about 140. I ride the 154 in everything from overhead pow days to groomer days at Snowbird. The BTX makes a smaller board ride bigger in pow and still allows you to be able to move in chop or on groomers. Hope this helps

Lib Technologies Skate Banana Original BTX Snowboard

November 12, 2009

These boards are in very high demand, and sell out very quickly. I would not count on them going on sale until well after the season if ever.

Oakley Alps Pant - Men's

October 6, 2009

Josh,

I am on the buying team at backcountry.com. I just wanted to clear up the confusion over this pant. We only carry the Black and the Helio Purple. We did not stock the Red. I'm not really sure why Oakley does not have the Black, but I can tell you for a fact that we have this pant in Black not red.

Sorry for the confusion

Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket - Men's

September 21, 2009

I always put my wallet and cell phone in a little zip lock bag in the pocket if I think there is a chance of them getting wet. Has not failed me yet!

Outdoor Research Highpoint Jacket - Men's

August 27, 2009

Not having the piece in front of me I cannot say to a 100% degree of certainty, but if it is stowable my best guess would be that it is not insulated.

The North Face Varius Guide Pant - Men's

August 27, 2009

It depends on how many layers you are planning to typically wear under these pants. With the large you always have the option of using the Velcro cinch straps to get the pants to fit just right.

Oakley Crowbar Goggle

July 8, 2009

It depends where you are riding/skiing, and what your sensitivity to light is for your eyes. The pink lenses work very well for just about every light condition except for big storm days or very low light conditions. hope this helps.

Oakley Crowbar Goggle Replacement Lenses

July 8, 2009

Replacing Crowbar lenses is not all that difficult. I routinely swap lenses depending on weather conditions in the parking lot of snowbird before I get on the lift. I would suggest not getting fingerprints on the inside of the lens by working them in from the outside and using the frame. When you are done buff the outside of the lens with your goggle bag to remove fingerprints. If you do get some on the inside, just be very gentle when you clean them off with the google bag. Hope this helps.
