Therm-a-Rest Ridge Rest Deluxe Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest Ridge Rest Deluxe Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 4 May 14, 2009

I've used this on several backpacking trips and although its freakin huge (and I have the small, which isn't for sale on here) I've never felt like i've lost sleep due to my pad. I'ts comfortable - I always look foward to going to bed. As far as strapping it to my pack - my Klamath pack has straps on the bottom that hold it perfectly tight. If your looking at this, don't be afraid to go ahead and buy it...

Bomber Helmet

Petzl Elios Climbing Helmet

Petzl Elios Climbing Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 May 14, 2009

I've worn this helmet climbing a few times and I never notice its there. The main purpose that I bought the helmet for was for caving. It worked really well for that. I tend to turn around to talk to a friend and then turn foward again and crawl/walk right into the wall/ceiling. My head has been protected many times, can't exactly say how it does with impact but it seems solid enough. Has a great low profile that makes it perfect for caving and the clips work great with my headlamp.

So I guess that the bowl is lined with plastic and therefore cannot be cooked in?
