Good base layer

Icebreaker SuperFine140 Tech T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Icebreaker SuperFine140 Tech T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

I like this as a base layer or by itself on warm days. It does get a bit itchy under pack shoulder straps, and the stitching under the arms causes it to bunch funny under other layers. I like that it's not so tight it can be worn as a casual shirt too.

Warmer than expected

Icebreaker BodyFit200 Legless Pant - Men's

Icebreaker BodyFit200 Legless Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 9, 2009

I wore these up Kilimanjaro with just a soft shell pant and was reasonably warm considering the temp (~10F w/ wind chill). They were great for sleeping in as well. It seems like they shrunk in length after washing so that there is a gap between the top of my socks and the underwear, but I didn't notice it while hiking - only during the middle of the night bathroom runs.
