I'm looking for some snow boots for some serious backcountry

I'm looking for some snow boots for some serious backcountry snowshoeing, I'm concerned that on longer trips snow may collect in the faux fur, get melted by body heat and wicker moisture in to the boot -- I find on powder days I always manage to get some snow between the cuff and sleeve of my snow pants. Has anyone had this sort of problem?

I've been looking at buying one of these for my boyfriend for several months, but I can't seem to find the s/m and m/l torso measurements. Does anyone know them?
He is 6'2" so I'm guessing he will need a m/l.
