Way Too Small

Marmot Flexion Jacket - Men's

Marmot Flexion Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 November 5, 2009

I'm pretty sure that this was designed to be "form fitting" but, even compensating by going a size larger, it is one tight fit. If I didn't know any better I could swear that it was design for a female physique. It's heading back for a refund. Pay the extra $10.00 and get the Catalyst jacket. It's a little heavier, but, the fit is more true and is an excellent 3 season jacket.

A jacket that's in the same league as Arc'Teryx (sort of)

Mountain Hardwear Beryllium Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Beryllium Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 28, 2009

As a replacement to my Arc'Teryx Theta AR jacket, the Beryllium seems capable to holding its own. What I cannot understand is why the main zipper is not water tight like all the others found on the jacket? If it was I definitely would have given it a 5 star rating. The flap with it's velcro tabs does protect the zipper, but, you would think that a water tight zipper would have been a better option. On a positive note, the Gore Tex Pro shell fabric seems less restrictive than the Theta. And after a good old fashion downpour, I was definitely warm and dry. Plenty of room of layering and the 2 front chest pockets are big enough for a Garmin 60CSX and the zipper tabs are really nice compared to the "string loops" found on the Theta.

A really great jacket to have.

Arc'teryx Solano Softshell Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Solano Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 24, 2009

After being somewhat disappointed with some of Arc'teryx latest offerings (don't they make anything in Canada anymore?), I can definitely say that this is a must have jacket. The athletic fit is like having a 2nd skin and it does keep the wind out. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was the lack of a pocket up near the chest area (either inside or out) to carry an iPod.

Well Done Arc'teryx!

Arc'teryx Celeris Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Celeris Jacket - Men's

I knew this jacket was going to be thin, but, it's REALLY THIN! Unless you must have everything Arc'teryx makes, save your money and find something else.

A great hat to have.

Mammut Climb Cap

Mammut Climb Cap

Rating for this product: 4 August 14, 2009

This is a great hat to wear when the sun is pounding your brain to goo. The visor is long enough to keep sun glare away from your glasses and the side vents are excellent. Worth the $$

Arc'teryx Blade 24 Backpack - 1465cu in

Arc'teryx Blade 24 Backpack - 1465cu in

Rating for this product: 2 August 14, 2009

This is the 1st Arc'teryx item that I cannot recommend to anyone. Although the pack is constructed well and can take a beating, it's hard to get a laptop out of the back and the openings to get files, books, or "gear" becomes annoying. I've already started looking for a replacement. :(
