Best softshell pant ever!

Stoic Tour Softshell Pant - Men's

Stoic Tour Softshell Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 20, 2010

I got these pants for back country snowshoeing and they are perfect. I have been out for hours in temperatures ranging from 5 above to 35 degrees and I have never once felt cold or over heated. The stretchiness of the fabric is amazing. I don't feel restricted in any way. I find that they are more comfortable that even my favorite jeans! So far I've logged about 20-30 hours of shoeing in the woods and even in the thickest brush I've haven't noticed any wear'n'tear. The pockets are useful, but I don't really use them out on the trails.
My only complaint is that I haven't been able to get a Stoic top layer yet and these pants make me hate my current options!

Perfect for a busy summer or car trip

Mountainsmith Modular Hauler System Plus

Mountainsmith Modular Hauler System Plus

Rating for this product: 5 July 27, 2009

I originally bought this system to organize the back of my jeep, which is usually just a giant pile of gear. For that it has been amazing. Knowing where to look for each type of gear, without digging through the mountain of stinky stuff, ensures that I have all I need for the activity of the day.
When I took my jeep to the shop, I was able to pull all of my gear out in one move, allowing me to continue with my activities.
My wife and I recently took a very long, multi-day car trip with our two kids. This is where the Modular Hauler System was really invaluable. We packed one module with toiletries, one was packed with stuff for the overnight stays in the hotels. When we stopped for just the night, all we had to do was pull the two modules and the rest of the car could stay packed. Instead of 30 minutes of unpacking and repacking the car each day, it took only seconds to get our stuff to the room.
In short this is a great organizer for any sport or adventure.
