Love but some doubts

The North Face Dhaulagiri GTX Backpacking Boot - Men's

Yes I like this boot and have just done 400km of walking in them at 30km per day. I found they were comfortable and stayed dry although did not have masses of rain. They are also wider than other boots which is what I needed. My gripes would be: a) not always easy to get right tightening pressure on laces (but this is a matter of adjustment), b) feet got very tired in them and I believe the sole could use a bit more cushioning technology, c) sometimes a bit hot. When walking, I would have to stop every 10km to take a break. As I had not done a lot of walking before so difficult to compare either in the absolute or relative to other boots, but I was in the mountain infantry and remember Meindl boots being more comfortable. It is mainly the ball of the foot and the heel where I feel the tiredness the most. The certainly look good and are light. They kept rain out but I did not have lots of rain. You do feel stones and other objects under the boot which can sometimes cause discomfort. On the whole I really like the boots though.
