MSR Groundhog Tent Stake Kit

June 25, 2009

I haven't used the TNF stakes, but as far as the "hook" on the MSRs... They are notched at the top of all three sides of the stake which will hold parachute cord hitched to the stake. If you're using larger rope you'd need to need to run it through the cord pull loops.

Backcountry.com Merino Crew Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Backcountry.com Merino Crew Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 24, 2009

Absolutely my favorite shirt for this summer. I thought the long sleeves were odd at first, but they really stay put under a jacket and I now view them as one of the shirt's uniquely great features.

Fit: I'm 6'3" 185 and a Large fits well, with a trim but not skin tight cut.

Smith Capital Sunglasses - Polarchromic Lens

Smith Capital Sunglasses - Polarchromic Lens

Rating for this product: 4 May 25, 2009

These are bigger glasses and sit a little farther from my medium size head then I'd like, but looking through them is a dream.

A few small issues I have with them...
The large glass lenses are a bit heavy on the nose, and they can get uncomfortable after 6 or 7 hours.

The plastic seems cheaper then other smiths, I've owned (more Oakley like). I don't notice it much anymore, but it bothered me when I first pulled them out of the box.

The hinges are screwed into the arms, and they creak when moving the arms. This added to my feeling that they were cheaply made, but I've never heard it while wearing them.

overall the lenses are a full 5stars, but the frames are only 3stars.
