The North Face Nuptse Down Jacket - Women's

The North Face Nuptse Down Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 16, 2011

Well, as expected, this jacket is super warm (how could it not be with 700 fill down???). It's been in the teens here and I've worn it every day since getting it- it's perfect! Length wise, it falls to about mid-hip on me, which is longer than I was expecting, although I did get the extra large (I'm 5'4", 160lbs, big bust!). The only issue I have with this jacket is the sleeves aren't quite long enough- they barely touch my wrist and any time I raise my arm to do anything I have a good 2 inches of skin exposed. It wasn't like this on my other TNF jacket (furallure) but overall it's not a huge deal... just a little annoying. Overall, love the jacket!

K2 True Luv Ski w/ Marker M2 10.0 Binding - Women's

July 27, 2010

Hey, so I'm looking at these skis as a present for my girlfriend. She just started skiing last winter but is doing really well, learning quickly and even did some moguls with me last year. Neither she nor I have ever owned skis so I don't know if these would be right for her, she's 5'5, 170 pounds. Can anyone out there tell me if these would be good for her, or give me a suggestion for a different (similar price range) ski? Also, would a 173ish length be okay?

Thanks.

The North Face Classic Denali Fleece Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 11, 2009

So this was my first North Face Fleece- I've had other stuff by them and I figured it was time for a nice warm fleece.

This jacket is awesome- warm, heavy weight, exactly what I was looking for. It isn't a layering jacket, if that's what you're looking for- it's a bit too bulky for that, unless you zip it into a north face outer shell, but it is perfect for autumn days and even winter I'm sure if you wear something warm under it.

Others have said this jacket isn't at all windproof- I would have to revise and say it is "breeze-proof," but nothing more than that. I've worn it on a 45 degree, slightly breezy day with just a long sleeve shirt underneath and been perfectly fine.

As far as sizing goes, I'm 5'5.5" and I ordered the large. I'm glad I did. Although part of the jacket is nice and loose (this is not a tight, form fitting jacket), the very bottom of the jacket has a non-stretchy hem that I think is basically the limiting factor as far as sizing goes. If I had ordered a medium, the rest of the jacket would have fit tighter but the hem itself would have been too small. You can always cinch it smaller, too, with the drawstrings that are included on it.

Overall, I love this fleece. Nice, soft, warm enough for cool fall weather, and adorable as well. I want to buy another one in a different color!

The North Face Nuptse Fur II Winter Boot - Women's

April 29, 2009

I don't know about these boots, but just in general, if you're getting blisters from boots it's probably because you need to break them in more. Get a few blisters for the first week or two that you wear them, and after that they should be good... at least, that's been my experience with boots.
