I started getting into the outdoors by joining an environment corps in Arizona working on trails. I enjoyed the diversity of Arizona in regards to landscape and wildlife.

Vasque Breeze GTX Hiking Boot - Women's

Vasque Breeze GTX Hiking Boot - Women's

Word of advice...
don't take these boots when you're going to be in Sand Dunes...
I worked at the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado for over a month and the sand got in the boots, like in between the mesh... Very painful on my toes, but I pushed through it. After the week long trips I would throw them in a dryer to shake the sand out and that worked, but when i'd go back it was the same situation all over again.
These boots lasted me 2 seasons. 1 with the Forest Service and the next spring/summer/fall with the Southwest Conservation Corps. I worked em hard and thats why they are no longer with me anymore.

Amazing

Burton Emerald Snowboard Boot - Women's

Burton Emerald Snowboard Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 22, 2009

I have the tiger print ones. Let's just say the way the feel on the outside is the same as the inside. I just learned how to board this season and could not have picked a better boot! I love the speed zone lacing system and there is an option of putting the heaters in the toes of the liners if you wish. You don't really need them, I used these boots to work in (I worked at a mtn in WY this winter) and on the negative degree days they kept me nice warm and dry. These are some very comfortable boots!
