The North Face TKA 100 Glacier 1/4 Zip Fleece Pullover - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 30, 2009

Lightwight, warm, and packable. Excellent fleece. Very sturdy as well, so I imagine it'll last for awhile. Not the best for blocking wind, but that's not what it's for. Throw thin rain shell over it and I can't imagine getting chilly, even in the coldest rain. Looks good on the trail or out on the town.

Great product

Black Diamond Trail Back Trekking Pole

Black Diamond Trail Back Trekking Pole

Rating for this product: 5 May 30, 2009

Excellent pair of poles. Lightweight and sturdy, I don't know how packable they really are because they've yet to leave my hands when hiking. They do shrink down to a fairly small size, so I imagine they'd do well though. For the price, it might be hard to find a better pair.

Some supply stores carry them; I know Backcountry Experience in Durango, CO does.

MSR Hydromedary Hydration Bag

May 23, 2009

I personally don't have one of those filters, but I've seen reviews of these bags on other sites that have mentioned using them together easily.

GoLite Virga Jacket - Men's

May 16, 2009

Just wondering: How sturdy is the material of this jacket? I'm planning on hiking in the Rockies in late Spring, and I'm probably going to get dumped on while wearing a 30-40 lb. pack. Will this be o.k. under that?
