The new mitts are strictly mitts. They are the warmest mitts you can buy. If you are having problems with them like many of these post are about I would like to remind you they are for mountaineering not skiing or driving your car. If you are looking for stuff that is great for that look into the black diamond freeride line. Easy to see at www.bdel.com
