Awesome pants!

Backcountry.com Overhang Pant - Men's

Backcountry.com Overhang Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 9, 2009

These Bc pants are my favorite for hiking and bouldering, even in summer weather (below probably 88 degrees or so). They breathe like no other pant I've ever worn, while still holding up to scrapes and bumps against rocks, thorns and branches. Another thing I love about them is how stretchy they are, which makes scrambling up and around boulders much easier. ROCK ON BC!!

Good Knife but..

CRKT Mini My Tighe Knife

CRKT Mini My Tighe Knife

Rating for this product: 4 May 10, 2009

The Mini My Tighe is a nice knife, but for the price its going for here you might as well upgrade to the fullsize My Tighe from another seller. I love BC.com so I'm not trying to hate on them, but I got my My Tighe on ebay for a very good price. Other plus's are that the handle fits better in your hand, the blade is obviously longer, and it's slightly easier to open than the mini because it's thumb studs are better. And someone commented that the belt clip isn't reliable? Nothing wrong with the belt clip- I always make sure if I clip my knife to my belt or inside my pocket that it's in a safe place, and constantly make sure that I still feel it's weight. I've been trail running and rock scrambling with it clipped inside my pocket and it never came undone. :)

Cold Blooded Killa

CRKT Triumph Folder Knife DO NOT USE

CRKT Triumph Folder Knife DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 5 April 27, 2009

I recently got this knife, and boy was that a good choice. While the blade isn't the longest that CRKT offers at an average 3.5", using the thumbstud to flip it open or just holding it in your hand, you know that this knife is an absolute beast. Like a previous reviewer stated the knife's grippy handle feels like it will wear a hole in your pocket, that's how tacky it is. This is not really an EDC (EveryDay Carry) knife, but if you appreciate beefy, aesthetically pleasing knives this is the one for you. Also take note that the picture here makes the handle look black when it is actually green.

FORGED BY ZEUS HIMSELF

Backcountry.com Shift Welder Hoody - Men's

Backcountry.com Shift Welder Hoody - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 27, 2009

My shift welder hoody finally came today-and I was not disappointed. It is the best jacket EVER MADE. It allowed the ancient Atlantians to survive underwater and turn water into straight breathable air. No, but seriously this jacket is everything they say it is and more. Soft, breathable, Frickin' Sweet Looking, lightweight, mind-blowingly amazing feeling and looking, and amazingly comfortable. Did I say it looks really cool? My only complaint would be with the sizing. As usual BC makes the sleeves a little long, or maybe my arms are too short :( ! It's not long enough to be a problem though, thankfully. They also say that is is an athletic fit, and this is surely true, I am 5'9.5" and have recently dropped from 190 to 175 in the last couple months. At my current weight it fits pretty much perfectly, but with no room for a second layer below it. My biggest problem at this point is that its 80 degrees out in D.C. and I can't really wear it outside. It looks like its going to rain in a couple days and I'll get to go outside and dance in pure ecstasy. I might sleep in this jacket and nothing else tonight. I think I'm in love. Thank you backcountry.com .

Great for Scramble-style hikes

Evolv Stryker Approach Shoe - Men's

Evolv Stryker Approach Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 20, 2009

Took these bad boys out for the first time today, and I was impressed. Took less effort to get up and over, as well as down rocks due to their incredible grip. Maybe it was all in my head, but if it helps give you confidence in your footing that sure is a plus. When I first tried them on I was afraid that they wouldn't tighten enough, but this fear was put to rest when I got on the trail and realized I had tightened them too much. After loosening them up a little they were quite comfortable and did their job. Would recommend these to anyone who loves scrambling.

ahhh.. I finally got the balls to fork out the $$ for this great looking jacket on SAC based on the reviews and photos, only to be a few seconds too late to get a M. Very depressing. Will it ever be back?
