La Sportiva Katana Vibram XS Edge Climbing Shoe

La Sportiva Katana Vibram XS Edge Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 January 9, 2011

I purchased these shoes about a month and a half ago. And, I love them! I can really trust my feet on even tiny chips, and smear confidently, too. They have stretched out a bit, but still need to be taken off after each climb. I got them a size and a half smaller than my normal size. I would get them again, especially if I had some sort of discount! Also, I would maybe consider going a full 2 sizes down. Overall, great shoe.

Kavu Hot Helen Bag - Women's

Kavu Hot Helen Bag - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 9, 2011

I got this sweet bag for my mom for Christmas (she's a big Kavu fan). However, when it came in the mail, I was really tempted to keep it for myself! The fabric is super-cool, and the size is big enough, but not too big. Plus, you could totally use it as an everyday bag, even though it will make you feel outdoorsy and rugged. If you dream of the backcountry while going through your work day, this bag is for you : )

prAna Quinn Tank Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 June 26, 2010

Love this tank! It's comfy, stays in place, and allows for great range of motion. Added bonus: it's super cute!!! Side note: I got it cheaper than the backcountry price... I am considering buying a second one, which says a lot, 'cause I'm a cheapo!

Evolv Elektra Climbing Shoe - Women's

Evolv Elektra Climbing Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 May 11, 2010

so, these shoes (last year's model) are pretty great for your first pair of climbing shoes. i'm guessing that's what their main use is, since they have two flaws i have noticed: 1. they smell really bad after about two months of wear. i cannot handle it so i try not to take them off...which has led to the second issue. 2. they stretch out significantly. they no longer hurt my feet at all. this is a problem. the reason i gave them four stars? find 'em cheap (you can), the color : ), good beginner quality.

La Sportiva Rajas Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 26, 2010

I'm really pleased with these shoes... I have been able to get in some great trail running mileage without my typical foot issue (high arch). They're super durable. As far as looks, they're cute and make my big feet look smaller : ).

Evolv Elektra Climbing Shoe 2009 - Women's

Evolv Elektra Climbing Shoe 2009 - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 26, 2010

I love these shoes! I am a new climber (quickly becoming addicted). I bought them a half size smaller than my shoe size and they're great. My toes hurt, as is to be expected/desired. I also feel really good about the cost, since I'm broke! The velcro is handy and, as a bonus, they look cute : ). Pretty much, I'm planning on finding them again once these wear out. Buy 'em!

SmartWool PhD Medium Snowboard Sock

SmartWool PhD Medium Snowboard Sock

Rating for this product: 5 January 14, 2010

I bought these for my friend, who is in charge of multiple recesses at a K-12 school. She is hardcore about good winter clothing. She loved them so much that she promptly went out and bought another pair. She loves the way they keep her whole lower leg warm. I don't have these exact socks, but love smartwool in general. Yay!

Winter, Here I Come!!!!

Sorel Cumberland Boot - Women's

Sorel Cumberland Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 11, 2009

I ordered these boots in an attempt to embrace winter in Wisconsin. After living in Siberia (for real!) and wearing Sorels, I knew Sorel to be a dependable brand. The Cumberland boots are true-to-size, very comfortable, waterproof, and toasty! I plan on snow shoeing, hiking, and just being outside as much as possible in them! Another positive - I've gotten tons of compliments on their "cuteness." They look better than similar-type North Face boots, and they're cheaper. Yippeeee!

Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandal - Women's

Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandal - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 June 7, 2009

After friends raved about their Chacos, I decided it was time to give 'em a try. Now I see why! I have not so great knees, and they have really helped with good support. Also, don't be alarmed if they give you blisters at first, or don't seem as amazing as expected. They will come around in a week or two. They seem like they'll last for a super-long time. Yay for Chacos!!! : ) p.s. they look good, too.
