I have to order a parka for a trip this summer to theNorth Cascades

I have to order a parka for a trip this summer to theNorth Cascades National Park, They told us to order a PARKA , however i am having trouble with what a parka really is. I live in Florida, so it is kinda difficult to just go to the store for one. Does this jacket fall under the qualifications of "parka". I need this piece of gear to be right because im going to be up there for 9 days. And they asked for the parka to be either "down" or " synthetic".... does this qualify as synthetic, if not, then what is??

cause i have the contact crampons but not the abs plates and am wondering if it is good to get them or if their just unnecessary weight???
