Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket - Men's

March 19, 2010

Ok I just bought Patagonia's Stretch Ascent this winter and it I have to say it rocks. Now I'm seeing this new product and noticing that the pictures are similar (and by similar I mean I can't find any differences) and the specs are very close (Torrentshell seems to be about 3oz lighter I think). Seeing as how the winter hardshell lists at over twice the price, could anyone offer a performance comparison to explain the differences? Just trying to keep Patagonia honest here...

Patagonia Footwear Huckleberry Approach Shoe - Men's

August 21, 2009

I've never tried a pair of approach shoes; I'm wondering, are they intended to be worn barefoot like regular climbing shoes or will they fit and function appropriately with socks?
