the top of Stowe, VT was windy that day. All I needed was this jacket and two layers to keep me warm. Not one time did the wind chill get to me.

comfy and stays put on the trails.

great jacket, the windproof technology is great but buy a size up. i found the interior has more grip to your under layer too. the jacket does stretch to conform to your movement. if you want to wear a layer underneath give yourself an extra size to be able to breath. it runs small. i had to return this for a cromium jacket because the store didn't have the size i wanted in stock. not meant to be a warm jacket, its made to be a layer or a light jacket.

i was given an apex bionic and it fit great, as long as i didn't wear a heavy layer underneath. i returned the bionic for the cromium in a larger size so i could fit a fleece under it for warmth. both jackets aren't very warm but i felt like the cromium is a little heavier and had a better fit. this is a great all around jacket.

i have read the reviews about the battery door and the faults. I have not had any problems with my lamp and have been using it for about 10 months. This was a great gift and I havent had any problems. I give it 4 stars only because it doesn't have the top strap to hold it on your head. I had mine get hung up on a brach and come down around my neck. Good lamp, good beam of light, light weight, good battery life, great to have in the pack to see what you need see when you need to see it.

Well it does what it says. Keeps your gear dry when the weather doesn't cooperate. Great fit for my day pack. However the weather will come down the back of your rain jacket and seek that spot between you and your pack. I recommend using this pack cover with some more insurrance inside your pack. This is ideal for any equipment in any of the oustide pockets or if you are not going to be on trail for hours in the rain. I pack everything inside in a dry sac (sea to summit) to be protected for the long haul. If you strap tent pole or hiking pole to the outside of your pack be careful of the sharp edges.

I use these in my bags everywhere I go. Rain, shine, snow, I pack it all in these dry sacs. I believe it is better to have dry socks and gear than to be all wet and miserable. It is important to pack for any occasion and any weather. These sacs will keep your gear dry and ready to hike another day. Until these fail, 5 stars all the way. The weight really isn't too much. If you press out the air inside you shouldn't have any problems with a "blow out". And just as a reminder, sharp objects may penetrate the bag, who knew.

So I tried on a few different pairs of Keen shoes. Since they stopped making the shoe I had been wearing i thought i would purchase Keen. I've seen mixed reviews and had to find out for myself. After a couple different size changes (the clerk hated me) and different styles i settled on these. light weight and a good flex. Some of the shoes didn't feel right or were too stiff. These fit great and didn't take long to break in. Not as waterproof as i would like. But they do breath to let out the heat and moisture. Durable and supportive soles make for a good hiker.

soft out of the package, the durability seems great, and lightweight. the Duratec dry treatment seems to be keep ing the rope clean and dry.

good package deal. light weight, durable, easy to handle and better than a single rope device.

solid carabiner. been around forever and will be here for a long time to come. easy use and quick to handle.

I love these pants and have bought ones exactly like them. BUT you need to be careful while around the campfire!!! They will melt from the embers.

I got these as a christmas gift and wore them a few times skiing and could feel the difference in the weight and material over my burton base layer. these have a little thicker material and were way tighter. not that it's a bad thing. I was able to move pretty easily. they looked like a kids size out of the package but fit really well. they kept me warm at -10f. i use these for colder trips now.

I bought the long sleeve and it is very comfortable as a base layer. Not to mention the material is very breathable and quick drying. I have been to other stores and couldn't find a price to beat BC.

I took a small trip with some buds in October in MA. The temp dropped to about 15*f at night, the cold was no problem with this bag. I slept in an Grand Trunk Double hammock with an EMO rain fly and this bag and I definitely stayed warm. Granted I had on some good lightweight bottoms and top on but with out the use of any other outside heat or creature comforts this bag totally did the trick keeping the warmth in. I found the bag to be roomy and easy to use (right side zip). Oh, and on the last night my black lab was a little colder and she fit great in the hammock and the long bag. the stuff sac could be tighter.

If your looking for speed this is not the carabiner. Good quality just to short of an opening if you were to lock anything bigger than a 10mm rope.

Very light weight and easily packs down to almost nothing. This held a 180lb body and a 4lb TNF sleeping bag with a 94lb dog. Very durable and easy to set up and breakdown.

Easily the best camping utensil I have ever owned. Light, long, and stiff. This thing is a no brainer for cooking and eating.

I have a cannon sureshot where the lens will open out and then close when powering off. The lens will not open with this bag. bummer for those cold rainy days but good to keep the water off your cam. If you can handle the time to take the camera in/out of the bag then buy it. i keep mine on hand in case I go canoeing or hiking in the rain. Like I said, I need to take the cam out of the bag to take a picture.

P.S. Don't use the flash in the bag. the pictures do not come out good at all. (From a friend who has a camera that does work in the bag.)

I bought a pair of these for my GF and they kept her vertical for the season. But after the first year they started to fall apart. The rubber cracked and the snow and ice build up was a little much. So I'm glad we got a season out of them. Cheap enough. I wouldn't go crazy with these, stick them in the pack for a quick frozen pond crossing and make sure you keep them clean from debris.

This is a tough picture but you can see the hose coming out of my day pack over my right shoulder. Hey now, you should be careful what you put in you bladder. The sugars can start to deteriorate the platics used in the making. Seriously I have seen it happen. Really should be cleaned out every time it's used. there is a good chance mold will grow and you know where that leads. Booze is not a good idea either. I am on my third camelback.

Hands free anyone? Mine are now, with these Skullcandy FMJ's. It is actually very convienant to be able to talk to someone while doing "other things". For all you big wigs out there, you will never miss another big confrence call because your "on the road". We all know I'm, I mean, you are crushing the glades at Jay.
These are easy to operate and field verified. So rock out with your FMJ's out (and take the call. you might have to pick up milk on the way home).

great filter that fits easily in the bottle and light weight. good for about 200 fill ups. a little pricier than some of the other filtration systems but you get what you pay for.

these are great pants but,
real small and long out of the package. my girlfriend tried them on and would have kept them if they weren't to long.

good light weight pant but the size runs a little small. good thing BC has a good return policy.

dock jumping or just out at the local pond this toy is great. I (dog) lost this at the end of autumn and was bummed. but the next spring we (she) found it again and could not have been happier. it was like she knew exactly where she left it. good girl. great quality and durability.

It does the job intended for the first few months. after a while i found it to be losing shape and doesn't stand-up like it used to. easily cleaned and packed.

these socks do exactly what they are made to do. dry feet are happy feet. wicks away the sweat, snug fit, no bunching, no quiting. after i ran with these i had to buy more. very comfy.

good ear buds for the price. i got a lot of outside noise while listening to my favorite beats (in a topless jeep). if your wicked pickey about hearing only the music these may not be for you. they are not sound cancelling by any means. comfy and good quality material make up for the lack of db.

after having my smiths for a few years they started showing signs of abuse. i sent them back for warranty with nothing but a return address. sure enough i came home from a long day at work to find a box with my name on it. a brand new pair of sunglasses complete with lens' and case as if i bought them at the shop. SMITH is the way to go.

A tight fit keeps these sunglasses on my head. Just sent in my primary pair back to Smith for warranty and bought these for back-up. Now I might keep these as my #1. No glare, great for all activities.

Good socks. I have a pretty beat up pair, and needed new ones. Found them here on Backcountry for cheap. So I bought two pair and now I can get back on the mountian without fear of the cold.

From the Jeep to the backside of any mountain these sunglasses are the bomb. No frame means no peripheral obstruction. Nice fit and so comfortable i don't even know I'm wearing then, now.
