Not a ton of use yet... but not too bad.

Patagonia Duck Pant - Men's

Patagonia Duck Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 20, 2009

I do really like these pants, they don't fit me quite as loose as my jeans but they are as loose as I would want them for actually doing stuff in. My only gripe thus far is in their stain resistance. Apparently they don't take well to collateral damage from Bondo body filler... I am afraid I got them a little to close to the action one day and now they have a pink spot on them. Kneeling on the ground has been great, all dirt brushes off and they appear quite durable. Totally happy with these pants, only trying to mess them up due to ignorance on my behalf.... THANKS!!

The North Face Nimble Jacket - Men's

The North Face Nimble Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 17, 2009

I just purchased my second TNF Apex Nimble jacket about a month ago. This jacket is never disappointing, blocks wind fairly well even while on a bike (which is a big deal for me). This coat partnered with a Patagonia Capilene 2 base layer make even the most bitter and windy days on the bike warm and comfy and still breathable. I do a lot of hiking and schooling and always have a pack on of some kind and even on my last jacket I have never seen any wear. The Apex fabric is incredibly flexible and surprisingly durable. The jacket sheds light rain and heavy snow, if it does manage to get wet it dries super fast, doesn't stain easy and looks great to boot (Indian clay is an awesome color FYI). This coat really is the one you will wear for every activity, all the others will be kept in the closet for extreme weather. Thanks NF and Backcountry!!!

Awesome Base but....

Patagonia Capilene 2 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Patagonia Capilene 2 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 17, 2009

I will admit this is my first good quality base layer... I can think back to soccer when I was sporting some Champion brand spandex but I did pick up the full Capilene 2 system and am amazed. Comfy, slightly loose fitting, breathable and very quick drying all as advertised. My only gripe is with the durability, I am a little worried as I have had these for about one month and gotten quite a bit of use from them already, the shirt has been flawless while the pants have a small rip starting in my inner thigh. The only thing I have used them for thus far is biking and the rip would make sense if there was anything sharp around my saddle (which I made sure there is not). It appears the rip might be coming from repetitive stretching? I have yet to contact Patagonia yet to see what they have to say. But worn as a base layer this stuff is amazing!!! just watch out for snaggs and maybe stretching the fabric to much. Thanks!!
