Nice pant, the fit is off for me.

Montane eVent Spectra Pant - Men's

Montane eVent Spectra Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 25, 2011

I typically wear size M (I'm 5'11'', 32''). I couldn't stick my lower leg into size L in these. XL was predictably too large around my waist (but not too much !!!!).

Admittedly I have lots of muscles on my lower legs and if you do not -- go for it, it's a nicely designed piece for you.

Nice material, baggy

Stoic Monolith Softshell Jacket - Men's

Stoic Monolith Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 January 25, 2011

The material and workmanship is great, welded seams appeared perfect. Orange on black looks cool.

Fit is not athletic, which is fine for some but didn't work for me. In fact it's way baggy.

Great jacket, sizing is unusual

Montane Flux Insulated Jacket - Women's

Montane Flux Insulated Jacket - Women's

Really nice jacket, very light, covers your tail and the color scheme is great.

Sizing is a bit off -- consider sizing up from your normal US size.

Stoic eVent Stash Shell - Men's

What's the back length for this jacket (say size L). It's pretty short on the front, but how far down does it go to cover my tail?

Montane eVent Spectra Pant - Men's

December 20, 2009

The description says that the pant is not seam taped, while claiming high (30K) waterproof rating. Is it glued? or the rating is off?

Good jacket, some issues

Millet Premium Evo Softshell Jacket - Men's

Millet Premium Evo Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 13, 2009

The jacket is much better than average. Some issues however: 1) zipper gets stuck (caught) in the upper section near the neck, 2) the pockets are accessible from above your harness but they are positioned slightly to the back and can be difficult to open with gloves on. The jacket is a bit short which works well for ice climbing but not for general mountaineering. I'm assuming that the zipper problem is just a defect 'cause it's a quality zipper (water resistant from YKK).
