So in love... but has chest issues

I really like this dress. It is easy to wear in any situation (I saw wicked in it-- in california). One thing, I got a large because of breast issues and the back was way too big for me so if I were to wear the dress where my bra would be there are big gaps under the arms. But without a bra, It just sits much lower on my back and the gaps go away. So it could have been I need a smaller size, but I think it is that the cups/ breast covers aren't a terrific shape.
