Held up pretty well

Merrell Perimeter GTX Backpacking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 18, 2009

I live in South Africa where the weather can change from cold and pouring rain to pretty high temperatures in a short time. These boots held up well on wet trails and felt comfortable when the temperature started climbing. Didn't take me long to wear them in either. I reckon it was a good purchase.

The North Face Apex Elixir Softshell Pant - Men's

March 24, 2009

Thanks Cyrus. I should know better - looking for summer pants in winter. Hmm, the problem with living in opposite seasons can be a problem and living in a Third World environment can be difficult attempting to find decent gear that lasts.

The North Face Apex Elixir Softshell Pant - Men's

March 13, 2009

Write your question here...These pants look great....the question is if they will be too uncomfortable for high day temperatures around 95f. I live in South Africa and hike a lot even at night when the temperatures can drop considerably. I am looking for a pair of pants that can be versatile.....
