Fashion, not function

The North Face ST Transformer Jacket - Men's

The North Face ST Transformer Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 January 27, 2010

I have been a long fan of TNF products for function and quality, but this jacket did not live up to my expectations. Specifics-main zipper is too small and has no front flap, there are no arm vents to open. There is no powder skirt, and it is really more of a shell than a jacket, as there is limited insulation. The pockets, though numerous and small on the front, are difficult to articulate with gloves. I removed the pack, which had less room than my wife's purse, and I removed the belt on the second day. If you want to look great in the lift line, then go for it. If you want the versatility of something this expensive beyond the groomed slope, then look elsewhere.
