Why are these 1 year warranty and the LTH are lifetime? I doubt anyone would spend 20 more dollars to get a 1 year warranty....

Montrail Helium GTX Hiking Boot - Men's
October 9, 2009
They will definitely handle that. I've gone with 70lbs myself. The only thing I recommend is get some custom inserts that are stiff.
They recommend this boot for hiking but these are my go to boot for backpacking and trekking. They are still the best boot I've purchased.

Mountain Hardwear Xenon Jacket - Men's
April 20, 2009
yeah you definitely could. very breathable and I've never been irritated by condensation or anything. I would recommend this or the LL BEAN Mountain Stretch Shell. I have both and use both however the Xenon I find to be more packable.

If they don't feel comfortable by all means you should return for a better fitting shoe. You should keep your inserts in every shoe you wear.

Patagonia Footwear Dogwood Shoe - Men's
April 15, 2009
I have heel pain as well. Ended up finding that my heels were curving in (suppination) and I had to have inserts made to correct the issue. Your best bet is to have your feet checked to prevent any future injuries and find a nice supportive boot. I found the Montrail Helium to be an amazing relief with my feet pain (with the inserts of course). They are light, very supportive in the heel, ankle, achilles region.

I have a 19" torso and I require a medium pack, but large harness and waist strap. It really depends on your frame. I am 6'3, 250. Your best bet is to get fitted so you know for sure because when weight is added, then you'll know if its for you.
