Marmot Cauldron Insulated Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 6, 2009

It's a bit shinier and shorter than I'd like (i'm tall and thin), but I mainly use it under a shell, so these are acceptable faults for me. I also looked at the north face redpoint, which is a little longer and less shiny. However, the lined collar on the cauldron (which the redpoint doesnt have) is awesome. It keeps your neck warm and prevents air from entering from the neckhole, eliminating the need for a scarf or other neck covering, which is huge for when I'm out on the mountain. The cauldron also has fleece lined pockets and an inside pocket (unlike the redpoint), which is nice. Overall I'm happy with it and would get it again.
