Pacific Outdoor Equipment Sea Bag Dry Bag

January 21, 2011

It will take a couple of bags to fill up a boat this size. I would recommend both a medium and large in front and back if using them a flotation bags. For gear storage it works better to have several small bags separating things then everything stuffed in one or two large bags. This provides better access and you won't have to pull everything out each time something is needed.

Demon Snow Flex Force Top Body Armor - Men's

January 4, 2011

These do have fitted, foam plastic protection inserts down the back covering the spine. The provide ample protection to the area without limiting movement or bunching. Of course you wont have all the impact protections of the more rigid spine specific coverage but will be happy with your non-restrained movement and the adequate protection it does have! Get this product!

Add a snow flex force or snow shied for the additional hard cover protection when needed and you will be very happy with the results!

Stohlquist Brik Personal Flotation Device

September 17, 2010

The whitewater classification is because of the additional features that keep the jacket on you in churning water. Note the additional clips and 'grippy inside'. You can certainly use this for touring without problems as it has a low profile and back.

Demon Snow Flex Force Pro Low Armor

Demon Snow Flex Force Pro Low Armor

Rating for this product: 5 February 4, 2010

So I looked around quite a bit before going with Demon - Im not sure what the person below is talking about. These are real pads for real mountain riding. NO - they aren't hard pads, but a middle layer that rocks. It gives you the cushion you need without giving up movement. I use these with the Skin underlayer and have zero complaints. Bonus: keeps my a$$ warm waiting for everyone else to catch up! :)

Demon Snow SKINN High Impact Top - Men's

Demon Snow SKINN High Impact Top - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 4, 2010

I looked around quite a bit before going with the Demon line of padding. This is the base layer use it in combination with and outside padding layer and you're good to go on the slopes. Won't impede your movements and adds confidence for the big ones. One thing: these are called skin - they run just that, skin tight, if you have any questions on size - order one size up to keep out of trouble.

DAKINE Mini Tune Tuning Kit

DAKINE Mini Tune Tuning Kit

Rating for this product: 4 January 22, 2010

Fits in your jacket pocket - the case keeps the multi-tool from jabbing into your leg and the wax works great in multi-temps. Add the edge tool and you never have to trust your board to some loser who hates his day job down at your local ski shop.

Good fit - water tight

Harmony Clearwater TTD Spray Skirt

Harmony Clearwater TTD Spray Skirt

Rating for this product: 4 June 24, 2009

I put this skirt on a Future Beach Patriot for my recreational paddling. After several trips out I have only a single complaint. The water pools away in the front and back but can end up settling down the sides. I am thinking of adding shoulder straps to keep the water from annoying me on longer trips but would certainly get another Harmony for my next boat!

Outdoor Research Dry Ditty Sacks - Set Of 3

Outdoor Research Dry Ditty Sacks - Set Of 3

Rating for this product: 5 June 24, 2009

Took these as part of my dry bag solution for a multi day trip down Escalante. These bags held there own against some tough circumstances. At one point I submerged by kayak with these bags in the backpack tied down to the front desk. After a good 10 minute trashing in the current they did contain some mositure but actually faired better than some of my other 'dry sacks'. Whether in a boat or on my back - these will be going with me on all future trips!

Okay dry bag

SealLine Kodiak Taper Dry Bag

SealLine Kodiak Taper Dry Bag

Rating for this product: 4 June 24, 2009

I will give this bag 4 stars...it's alright, maybe not great. I purchased this bag with a few other brands to try out on a multi day trip down Escalante to Lake Powell. This bag will leak if you don't seal it perfectly, which sometimes seems difficult to do. It does have the nice feature to purge air out of your sack for smaller compression but by the end of the trip these bags were carrying the "less" important items that could handle a little water seepage.

Purchase These if your stuff has to stay dry

Pacific Outdoor Equipment Sea Bag Dry Bag

Pacific Outdoor Equipment Sea Bag Dry Bag

Rating for this product: 5 June 24, 2009

I purchased several different dry bags for a trip down the Escalante to Lake Powell in low water conditions. These bags were BY FAR the best ones in my kayak. they ended up carrying all of the important stuff that had to stay dry like sleeping bags. High quality and a tight seal will not do you wrong when you are miles from ...well anywhere!
