Bought this as a gift for my wife and though at first she was not thrilled as a rain jacket is not a very romantic gift... but after a few uses she loves it. Originally she used it for hiking only but she grew to love it so much she uses it for everything. Since its hers I can't give a very technical review but from looking at it the quality is very topnotch and she says it breathes well.

I bought the black and its a nice watch - however be warned that this a LARGE watch - the face looks huge on my arm and I don't have tiny wrists. The quality is good and I love the look of the black stainless - just make sure you know the measurements and decide if that is the look you want before you buy.

Over this summer I've tried several packs in the 2000-2500cu in range prepping for a trek through Nepal in the fall and this is the pack I settled on to take with me. The fact that its adjustable for diff torso lengths so you can get the perfect fit and the adjustable mesh back are great features. I also really like that the main compartment can be configured to be two compartments or one big compartment. The ONLY downside I found with this pack is though it has a hole for your hydration hose its hardly a pack I would call "hydration compatible" as there is no special area for the bladder nor a good route for the hose. I was going to rule out the pack due to that but decided to give it a run for a weekend and the positives of the pack were so nice I decided to find workarounds for the hydration issue. And to think its a pretty inexpensive pack as well!

First off I recommend ordering a size smaller than your other Mountain Hardware gear. Good: Nice looking jacket, pockets are great and very comfortable. Arm holes were perfect. Various cords you can tighten make it good at blocking the wind. Bad: My wife has the similarly priced North Face Nuptse Down vest which to be frank is much nicer. As stated in some other reviews this vest does lose feathers and the surface material is much thinner than the North Face. Personally for me the shoulders were too wide and the vest just and inch or two shorter than I would like.

My wife has this vest and I have a similarly priced Mountain Hardwear down vest and this TNF vest is much better. Its great looking, rarely loses feathers and is super comfortable.

This is my favorite of all the many jackets I own. My wife kept stealing it so much I had to buy her one of her own. The jacket is great in that when it's cold it insulates but it's not stuffy at all when it warms up making it excellent for everything from hiking to wearing in town to see a movie. It's also great looking. Be warned it has no, zip, zero, nil wind resistance so if it's going to be even a little windy grab a shell on your way out the door. For me the fit is absolutely perfect (6'0 170lbs, size L monkey man).

I own several different wool and synthetic base layer shirts and this one is hands down the best. It never smells and doesn't itch. Something I haven't been able to figure out is some of my other base layers have problems if you wear antiperspirant with them and it never comes out of the shirt - not so with this one. Not sure if it's the material or the fit not riding into your pits. If I ever see this shirt go on sale again I will buy a ton of them for all my friends and family (and to have a backup or two in case I damage mine or it's dirty).

Perfect shirt for midlayer skiing in the winter or base/only layer while hiking in the high elevation in summer. Would get perfect 5 stars except it's so expensive. If you like this shirt try the Icebreaker base layers which are amazing.

I bought this pack for my wife and she absolutely loves it. Its perfect both for when she goes jogging in the heat and for our frequent day hikes. The area that stores the water pouch is also insulated so the water stays very cold and refreshing. The build quality is also top notch. I highly recommend this pack if you are looking for a small hydration pack.
