these are great pants, although the stretchiness is a bit overrated. They are high enough and snug enough to provide some real warm around your midrift, without being too high. The bottoms just barely fit around backcountry ski boots, but are ok. We'll see how they last - but even if they don't Patagonia takes back anything, no matter how old, when it stops working.
