KEEN Winterport II Boot - Women's

KEEN Winterport II Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 August 6, 2011

I have a pair similar to these, and wanted my wife to enjoy them as much as me. Keen are favorites of ours because their fit accomodates those of us with wide feet. I've trudged through 2 Wisconsin winters with a similar model and it feels like I'm slipping on sneakers My wife has 1 winter of bliss in these boots and will never put another boot on..

Kept it all dry

Outdoor Research Ultralight Dry Sack

Outdoor Research Ultralight Dry Sack

Rating for this product: 5 July 15, 2010

Like a charm. I was super happy with the dry sacs. I got 3 of the 5L, and they worked perfect. Only side note is to keep in mind they are ultralight, and to stuff things in while the bottom is securely on the ground... things have a tendency to tear on you otherwise... turns out I only needed 2 of the 5L. I took these bags through monsoon type rains, and everything inside (including my down sleeping bag) stayed nice and dry. Highly recommended.

Light and Compact

Kelty Light Year Sleeping Bag: 40 Degree Down

Rating for this product: 5 July 15, 2010

Used it for an ultralight bikepacking trip... a long one. This bag treated me well. Take care of the bag, and it will take care of you. Shoved this bag into an OR 5L dry bag along with my Therma Rest and some cold weather gear... that's a lot of stuff for just a 5L bag!!! I was warm down to just below 30 (with bivy)- but I'm normally a warm guy, too. Plenty of room in the bag to move around, throw in the foot vent, and you're dreaming of tomorrow's mountain before you can say "Wow, I'm glad I read some reviews."

Granite Gear BlocSolid Compression Sack

Granite Gear BlocSolid Compression Sack

Rating for this product: 3 June 27, 2009

Nice bag, served it's purpose. Should've gotten water proof ones. These bags do work great, they do the job- compressed my stuff down- but there wasn't any shock an awe with their usefulness. I'd strongly recommend combination compression sacks/dry bags- they're a little more ching, but you get a lot more bling.

Worth every cent

Marmot Helium Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

Marmot Helium Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

Rating for this product: 5 June 27, 2009

Like staying warm at night? Light weight? Packable? After hiking/ biking/ paddling/ portaging all day- I just want some comfortable sleep so I can get up and do it again. Kept me warm with nothing more than the tent and it's footprint- no therma rest required (for heat retention at least) Pricey? You bet, but it's gonna last a long time and you're gonna sleep like a baby. Don't skimp on you're sleep comfort- you'll wake up a happier person in the morning and you'll probably thank those wonderful people at marmot when your friends are complaining about how they froze last night (or how heavy their bag is).

Outdoor Research AirPurge Dry Compression Sack

Outdoor Research AirPurge Dry Compression Sack

Rating for this product: 5 June 27, 2009

Used this compression sac to store my Marmot Helium bag- worked great. Kept the bag dry, compressed the bag small, and worked in some pretty rough conditions. This bag kept my bag dry in every condition short of submersing it (which probably works also). Highly recommended.

Pretty nice stuff

The North Face Mountain Biker Lumbar - 365cu in

The North Face Mountain Biker Lumbar - 365cu in

Rating for this product: 4 June 27, 2009

Rode 1000 miles off road, and couldn't even tell I had it on. Was very versatile and plenty of storage space. Water bottle holders hold the bottles in place in the roughest terrain. I now use it for everything- hiking, road biking, mtn biking... Extremely happy.
