Fischer Snowbound Ski

Rating for this product: 5 April 13, 2009

I've skied on skinny skis for 35 years now (I'm 60)and decided to get a set of backcountry skis for a change. I bought the 199 cm Fischer Snowbound's and W-O-W, what a change. I love these skis. I live in Washington state and ski across the state line in Oregon in the Blue Mountains. I went up last week for the second time on these skis and did 6 miles of backcountry skiing. All types of terrain and Spring corn snow. I can't believe the control I get with the metal edges and how much easier it is to ski than on the skinny skating skis. Now if I can learn to telemark I'll be in 7th heaven. Undoubtedly one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.
