Great all around baselayer

Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-Neck - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-Neck - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 25, 2009

Finally I found a go-to shirt for running and mtb. It's pretty thick compared to the typical stretchier baselayers, but dries way faster with it's looser knit construction. It's not as soft but still feels great next to skin. As a standalone piece it's comfortable from about 42 to 65 degrees while running. It's actually perfect by itself at 35 degrees once you are all warmed up and running hard, but you'll need a vest or something windproof to help you warm up initially. I think a Cap 1 and Cap 3 would be the only baselayers you would ever need.

My favorite shoe

Patagonia Footwear Larry Shoe - Men's

Patagonia Footwear Larry Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 13, 2009

These are the warmest, most comfortable shoe I've come across. They slip right on and have a nice roomy fit, perfect for an around the house slipper. I've also walked miles in them and the outer sole has held up well and has plenty of grip. This shoe has received the most compliments of any shoe I've owned, and I can't tell you how toasty they get! Not much support and not rigid, but these boot-slippers have proved themselves around town and I am getting a second pair.
