Volkl Bridge Alpine Ski

April 6, 2009

Ok I am debating between 3 pairs of skis. The Salomon Dumont, Line Chronic, and Volkl Bridge. I want something for the park as well as groomers and some off piste like trees and up to half a foot of powder. What should I get. I heard the bridges aren't great in the park and the chronic's can't handle the speed. Idk how the dumonts handle outside the park. Any suggestions?

Salomon Supernatural Pant - Men's

March 12, 2009

A 34 waist will need a size M and don't worry too much about the length. They will feel shorter when they go over your boots. Overall a sick looking pant.

Volkl Bridge Alpine Ski

March 9, 2009

yes you just need to make sure it's a all mountain twin tip. My recomendation would be the volkl bridge, line prophet, or rossignol s5 depending on the conditions you ski. Also a shorter ski is typically easier to turn.

Volkl Bridge Alpine Ski

March 8, 2009

Sounds like the 185's would be good for you. The longer ski will benifit speed and stability but might sacrifice a little on quick turns. Really 7 cm isn't all that much but it depends on skill level and experience. Personally i like a bit of a smaller ski so i would get 177 but since you like speed and stability the 185 would be your best bet. Again only 7 cm difference that's just under 3 in so you should be just fine.

Line Prophet 90 Alpine Ski

Most versitile far and away is the line prophet. If you really like volkl and want more versitility go with the bridge. The mantra is nice but is more of a pow ski. Don't know too much about the snoop daddy but the lines would probably be your best bet. As for size it depends some what on skill. I would probably go with 177 but that's just me. Hope this helps.

Volkl Wall Alpine Ski

March 2, 2009

The bridge. That's what it's made for. I would stay away from the suspect. Althought Salomon makes great skis there have been rumors that the suspect was a bit "suspect" if you get the drift. The wall wouldn't be a bad choice either but is geared more towrds park. The great thing about volkls is the quality construction and durability.
