Osprey Packs Stratos 24 Backpack - 1300-1700cu in
August 24, 2009
Thanks Brent, Checked out the Kode 22...nice bag, but a little too winter specific and I'm not sure how comfortable the coating would feel against your back in the summer. I think all the avy gear & goggle pockets are nice but overkill for a 4-season backpack. If I was getting two packs, one summer and one winter, I would be very interested in the Kode 22. The fabric on it doesn't look as tough. This one will do the job for my snowboard and summer day hiking and I'll have to see how it carries tele skis...might have to get a little creative but usually I have my teles on in the backcountry, either skinning or skiing. How often does one need to carry teles?

Osprey Packs Stratos 24 Backpack - 1300-1700cu in

Write your question here...Anyone carry skis on this pack? Wondering how well skis ride since it doesn't have special ski straps but the skis ride vertically just like a snowboard. Concerned about hitting my heels and backs of my legs on the skis or having the skis slipping around. I have telemark skis that are 166. I also snowboard, so I am looking for a pack for day hikes plus backcountry ski/snowboard day trips.
