Vasque Breeze Lite GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 March 26, 2009

These are cool looking boots, durable, waterproof, good traction, the works. Problem is that they without a doubt need inserts. Its like walking on cardboard in these boots, as is. So unless you want to toss another $35-$40 I would look elsewhere. Price of these boots should reflect the added investment ($170).

Scarpa ZG65 XCR Hiking Boot - Men's

February 23, 2009

I am searching for a nice hiking boot for my trip to the BWCA. We will be taking on some challenging portages (long, rocky, and wet). I am about 240 and will be carring a heavy load. My foot is about a 13, maybe 13.5, and runs a little wide. Is this a good boot for me and what size boot should I order?
