Yes, Gotta Wear These Shorts

Patagonia Custodian Short - Men's

Patagonia Custodian Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 May 8, 2009

I'm pleased with these shorts. Great fit and solid fabric. I decided to purchase because of the organic cotton fabric. These sit properly on my waist and don't sag. The non sag factor is important when mounting and dismounting my bike. Yes these do have cell phone/mp3 pocket on the left thigh, I find it useful. I plan on wearing these for years to come because of the strong fabric and construction. Right on Backcountry and Patagonia!

I spent $25 on a single pair of underwear, but these are worth the money. These feel great. What a fit. Amazing how comfortable these are, all day and all night comfort. I pray these will last and good long time. Suppose I should purchase another pair.

Ugly Duckling...

KEEN Austin Casual Shoe - Men's

KEEN Austin Casual Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 May 7, 2009

But I love these shoes. Comfort galore, from the great fit and smooth inner liner. The ugly duckling look from the large toe box, takes getting used to, but I can live with the odd look of the shoe because it fits so well and feels so good. Great for bike riding because the laces aren't flappin in the wind and into the chain. I'm glad I took the leap of faith and purchased these shoes.

Not Real Happy

prAna Jackal Short - Men's

prAna Jackal Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 May 5, 2009

These shorts just don't fit true to size. Waist measures a minimum of 2 inches larger that stated. The combination of too large waist, soft fabric and heavy pockets cause these shorts to droop and sag something awful. Yes I have heard of an invention called a belt. I really don't care. I wanted casual shorts and all my belts are of the dress up variety. Kudos to Backcountry and the gear heads for accepting my return and graciously sending a second pair of shorts on their dime, just to see if the first pair wasn't put together right. It wasn't a fluke, second pair had all the same bad attributes. I am keeping the second pair, because my wife likes them and for the organic cotton. I love Backcountry and their dedication to service. Beware the Jackal!
